Zawame Travel booking terms. Last reviewed September 2026.
Payment terms
- All prices are quoted and payable in US dollars (USD).
- A deposit is required to confirm a booking. The deposit is used to secure accommodation, transport, activities and the other services in the itinerary.
- The remaining 60% balance is due 14 days before arrival.
- Bookings made within 14 days of arrival require full payment at the time of booking.
- Any bank, card-processing or payment transaction charges applicable to the chosen payment method are payable by the client.
- A payment receipt is issued on receipt of each payment. Travel and service vouchers are issued on receipt of full payment.
Cancellation policy
Refunds of the total booking cost, by notice received before the date of travel:

Travel insurance
Clients are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical expenses, emergency evacuation and repatriation, loss or damage of baggage and personal belongings, and other travel-related risks. Zawame Travel is not responsible for costs that should reasonably be covered by the client's travel insurance.
Accommodation and special requests
Accommodation is provided according to the confirmed itinerary. Requests for specific rooms, dietary requirements, celebrations, activities or other special arrangements should be communicated at the time of booking.
Park, conservation and government fees
National park, conservancy, conservation, entrance and other government fees are based on the rates applicable at the time of travel. Should these fees increase after the booking has been confirmed, any additional mandatory charges will be communicated to the client and are payable by the client.
Changes to the itinerary
Zawame Travel reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the itinerary where necessary due to operational requirements, weather, safety concerns, supplier changes, government regulations or circumstances beyond our control. Where possible, any significant changes will be communicated to the client in advance and suitable alternatives provided.
Force majeure
Zawame Travel shall not be liable for any failure or delay in providing the services arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, whether affecting Zawame Travel or its suppliers. Such circumstances may include, but are not limited to, acts of God, terrorism, fire, floods, drought, natural disasters, explosions, epidemics, embargoes, riots, civil unrest, strikes, or actions and restrictions imposed by government or other authorities.
Liability
Zawame Travel will exercise reasonable care in arranging the services included in the client's itinerary. However, we are not liable for loss, injury, delay, cancellation or additional expenses arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control or from the acts or omissions of independent third-party suppliers.
Privacy and confidentiality
Zawame Travel respects the privacy of its clients and handles personal information responsibly. Client information is not disclosed to third parties except where necessary to arrange the booked services, to comply with legal requirements, or with the client's permission. Our privacy policy sets out how information collected through this website is used.
